MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Burma Veterans’ Re-Union. DESCRIPTION: General Sir William Slim addressed the Burma Veterans at their Reunion in the Albert Hall. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Elevated shot of audience. Elevated shot of ex-Burma troops singing Roll Out the Barrel as General Slim followed by Admiral Sir Arthur Power and Air Marshal Coryton walk down aisle to stage. SV MS of General Slim addressing audience (veterans of the 12th and 14th Armies), tells how when he arrived in Burma, a Chinese general came on the phone asking if there was a something General Slim around, etc. etc. Cut-ins of crowds laughing and applauding. Close ups of types of veterans. SV Slim continuing about the fighting qualities of the men.
