MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mitcham Rubber Dump Goes Up in Smoke. DESCRIPTION: When tons of dumped rubber caught fire black smoke hung over London. SHOTLIST: KS Various ground shots, all angles of dense clouds of smoke rising from burning rubber tyre dump. LS of burning fire. Fire engine along road towards fire, bells clanging etc. Various shots, firemen fighting the fire, MS of fire engine pumps working. Firemen holding hose-pipe, directing water onto fire. Several shots of rising smoke, comparable with clouds caused by atom bomb. Aerial shots of raging fire, dense and huge clouds smoke rising, darkening the skies.
