Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Indian Frontier Province Referendum. DESCRIPTION: The question of India or Pakistan was put to the vote in the Frontier Province. SHOTLIST: KS GV roof of building with eastern appearance. Camel transport make their ways through streets, bullock cart through streets. Donkey roams around street. Troops stand around outside voting places, also police, troops have armoured car, Bren carrier. Indians pushing and shoving one another to get into polling booth. Others being directed into same. CU sign indicating direction. Eleven year old youth assists voters. Illiterate persons make thumb impression on voting papers. Various shots of Muslim supporters parading around carrying the Muslim flag.
