MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: President Truman at Rio. DESCRIPTION: Mr Truman in Brazil to close the Inter-American Defence Conference. SHOTLIST: KS GV Truman walks along beflagged path to President Dutra of Brazil, both shake hands. The above two drive through crowded streets, ticker tape falls on them as they drive along roads. Elevated shots of same. Interior - conference hall, GV. GV Truman walks to microphones and SCU addressing delegates, re-affirming American policy. In Foreign reels. Truman’s speech was cut out and replaced by Truman signing Agreement on Inter-American Defence.
