MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Punjab Troubles - Floods Aggravate. DESCRIPTION: Many refugees have been stranded by the swollen River Ravi in the Punjab. Lady Mountbatten has visited Refugee Camps and listen to the stories of the fearful fighting in the area. SHOTLIST: KS GV of desolate street. GV one or two inhabitants left walk along ruined desolate streets. Various shots of refugees trekking along country roads, through flooded areas. Dacoits being addressed by military officer (silent). Dacoits dispersing. Lady Mountbatten in refugee camps, at Jullander and Amritsar. Various shots of her walking among refugees and talking (silent) with same. Various shots of flooded roads along which refugees trekked. Carrying their belongings as best they could. Groups shelter under tree in torrential rain. Various shots of flooded countryside. LS of floods with train passing along in background. The River Rafi overflowed.
