MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Daily Express Film Ball Aids Charity. DESCRIPTION: The Daily Express Film Ball was held at the Royal Albert Hall and was attended by many film stars and fans. SHOTLIST: KS GV of ballroom dancing in progress. Various elevated shots of dancing. GV of crowds in tiers. SCU Greta Gynt and Griffiths Jones. CU Jean Simmonds and Richard Attenborough. CU Valerie Hobson and Anthony Havelock-Allan (husband). GV Will Hay in box. MS Margaret Lockwood receiving bouquet from Crazy Gang, all kiss her, Bud Flanagan presents bouquet and Chesney Allen stands behind him. CU Tommy Trinder gesticulating. GV trumpeters. Fashion parade starts displays various fashions used in films, displayed by mannequins, in some are the 3/4 length skirt (The New Look) and full length skirt. Elevated shot of ballroom dancing in progress. Various shots of dancing to finish.
