DESCRIPTION: Howard Hughes has a test run in his huge flying boat and lifts her off the water for about a mile. SHOTLIST: KS SCU SV of flying boat. MS man walks along wings into camera. GV of plane. Inside - Howard Hughes at controls. Several interior shots shows how the double deck is laid out. SCU eight engines starting. Flying boat taxies across water, cut-in of our camera on launch photographing same. Flying boat just above the water. Lands on water again. Interior shot of Hughes at mike with members of the Senate around him, says that if this is a failure he will leave the country. More shots of flying boat taxiing across water.
