MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Agriculture Featured in Lord Mayor’s Show. DESCRIPTION: Sir Frederick Wells, as new Lord Mayor of London, had an impressive display of floats with the theme Agriculture through the Ages. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Tilt down Guildhall to procession leaving same. Marchpast of beginning of procession, Grenadier Guards Band, Lord Mayor Sir Frederick Wells takes the salute, next to him is Sir Bracewell Smith (the retiring Lord Mayor). CU Lord Mayor removing his hat. Float shows obsolete type of plough as originally used, several shots. MS sheep in pen. MS cart load of potatoes. MS diagram of same. MS hop float. Silver Lining float shows wheat conveyed up conveyor belt. GV procession passing down Ludgate Hill. Procession at Law Courts, Lord Mayor arrives at same. Lord Mayor leave Law Courts. CU new coachman, George Wilson. SCU Lord Mayor’s driving along road, Lord Mayor raising hat acknowledging crowds. Cut-ins of crowds.
