MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Hirohito Visits Hiroshima. DESCRIPTION: Emperor Hirohito visits Hiroshima to see the reconstruction that has taken place. SHOTLIST: KS Elevated shot car procession through street. Crowds swarm round Hirohito’s car as it passes through, break through police cordons. Hirohito alights from car, raises hat. Walks towards children, again raises his hat to them. Elevated shot ruins of Hiroshima, low aerial. Cut-ins with a few buildings erected. Previous crowds going frantic nearly, waving, cheering etc.
