MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Us Frozen Rivers Begin to Break Up. DESCRIPTION: Rivers in the north of America had been frozen solid and there were fears of the damage the ice would cause. Fortunately the thaw came quickly before it got really dangerous. SHOTLIST: KS MS partly frozen falls. Several shots all angles of Niagara Falls frozen over partly. SCU frozen falls. On the Ohio River, various shots of river completely frozen, large blocks of ice on river. Panning shots of frozen river. Shots of river ice breaking and slowly floating towards the sea, several shots. Aerial shots craft stuck tight in the ice, completely stranded.
