- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Re’s Erect Bailey Bridge in Flooded Areas. DESCRIPTION: Serious flood damage in the border country, near Berwick. RE’s are called in to replace a bridge which has been washed away, with a Bailey Bridge. SHOTLIST: KS (Library - Aerial shots of flooded countryside. Ditto. Railway lines bent, nearly broken, several brick bridges complete washed away). Railway passenger train passes over temporary bridge. Royal Engineers putting up Bailey Bridge, fixing various sections. LS looking up river a Bailey Bridge partly finished, halfway across river. MS mobile crane and engineers push bridge into position. LS looking up river at bridge completed. Cut-in signpost reading Canty’s Bridge. Into camera, car passes over bridge. Elevated MS of same to finish.
