MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Christmas Time Is Circus Time. DESCRIPTION: At Olympia before an audience of children, the Bertram Mills’ stars and trained animals performed much to the children’s amusement. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Groups of clowns. Children seated in arena seats. Performers make their entry also several animals. Kids seated with thumbs in their mouths. Shots of clowns passing across arena. Kids seated - cut-ins. Elephants perform, playing cricket. CU kid types watching. Clowns performing. Kids laughing. Horses & ponies performing. Kids laughing. Several shots of chimpanzees performing, having tea party & doing balancing tricks. SCU person getting into cannon. Cut-in Reg Sutton dressed as a kid. Cannon smoke rising after firing. Person in the safety net. Unrideable mule races round arena, several try to mount him. Kids laughing. Clowns performing with buckets of water. Bertram Mills Circus.
