Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rugby League Cup Final - Bradford V Halifax. DESCRIPTION: Bradford Northern met Halifax at Wembley, the former winning by 12 points to nil. The Cup was presented by the Duke of Edinburgh. SHOTLIST: KS. Elevated GV teams walk on field. Ditto - only ground shot. Crowds cheering. Toss-up. Price - captain of Halifax wins the toss. Elevated GV kick-off. General play. Play the ball rule - several shots shows new rule in rugby. Bradford attack hard, try to get over in left corner but fail. Ball passed right over to right wing & Batten goes over for a try. Ernest Ward converted from an acute angle. Cut-in Royal Box. Elevated GV of play. Penalty kick by Ward who scored. General play. Crowds cheering. Foster scores try for Bradford. Frank Whitcombe wipes his forehead as he comes off field. Ward receives Cup from Duke of Edinburgh. Ward walks towards camera. "Chaired" & carried off field. Special Version: KS. Elevated GV team onto field. Ground shot team walks on. Crowds cheering. Duke of Edinburgh. Walks on, presented to teams. Halifax win toss. Elevated GV Bradford kick-off. Then same play with bit more added as GR. End of game, Ward receives Cup & players receive medals. Duke speaks to referee. Cut-ins of cheering types & glum looking types.
