Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Aerostatic Garden Party (Air Display). DESCRIPTION: At White Waltham, an aero display by rather antiquated types of machines. Also a balloon descent by the President of the Aeronautical Club. SHOTLIST: KS. GV crowds on airfield, where fete was held. SCU person about to turn propeller of plane. M Charles Dollfuss in balloon about to take the air with Dr Roxbee Cox (President of RAS), balloon takes off. Helicopter lands on trailer. Several shots Sopwith Pup in flight. Tiger Moth gives crazy demonstration. Wing Commander Kent holds up finger to tell which way wind is blowing. Climbs into cockpit of Deperdussin. Mr Jeffery Quill flies monoplane, replica of Bleriot’s 1909 monoplane. It only just rises off the ground.
