Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Shanghai Awaits the Reds. DESCRIPTION: Troops dig in and prepare for the imminent attack by Chinese Reds, while the civilians evacuate in their thousands. SHOTLIST: KS. Nationalist troops dig in - making trenches. Several shots ditto. Nationalists walk through trenches into camera. Nationalist troops searching people as they enter city. Cut-in shot deserted Soochow Creek. People evacuate city, including fishermen carrying their cormorants. Nationalist troops on lorries enter city as civilians evacuate.
