Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Princess Astrid Mined. DESCRIPTION: Off the shores of Dunkirk lies the Cross-Channel steamer which hit an undetected mine. Five of the crew were killed, all the passengers were rescued. With only her superstructure showing she lies on a sea bank, with salvage tugs standing by. SHOTLIST: KS. Aerial of sunken ship, show just superstructure. Ditto. Aerial of ship. Man points, another looks through field glasses. SCU distress signal flying on ship. Diver goes down to inspect. Interview with General Hildring telling of his experiences aboard ship. 16mm blown-up material taken by Hildring aboard ship while survivors were being taken off.
