Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Oxford Street Store Fire. DESCRIPTION: Abbots Shoe Store in Oxford Street suffered from a severe fire, with flames pouring from all windows. The Fire Brigade, however, soon had the fire under control. SHOTLIST: KS. MS flames coming from upper windows of store. Fire brigade arrive, run out hoses, lift up hydrant cover. Various shots of fire blazing, flames leaping from windows. Fireman walks round with ‘walkie-talkie’. GV fire. GV crowds looking on.
