Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Australian Floods. DESCRIPTION: The River Hunter in New South Wales burst its banks causing great damage to housing and transport. SHOTLIST: KS. Aerials of floods. Ground shots - house almost & completely submerged in high waters. People being rescued from their homes. This is the town of Maitland. Pillar box nearly submerged. Telegraph boy makes his way through water. Bus with roof only showing above the water. Maitland railway station with the Sydney/Brisbane express marooned completely. Several shots of railway station under water - almost.
