Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Vikings Invade London. DESCRIPTION: Arriving at Richmond after rowing the greater part of the way up the River Thames, the Vikings were given a grand welcome by crowds gathered on the towpath. SHOTLIST: KS. GV Tower Bridge opened. Ditto. Boat "Hugin" passes through. Elevated under camera shot passing under bridge. People line Thames Embankment. Cut-in Houses of Parliament. Line of people along Embankment. At Richmond (Surrey), hundreds of boats on river. Thousands of people on banks greet them as they come ashore. Crew walk through avenue of cheering crowds, shaking their hands.
