MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Godiva Unveiled - Reluctantly. DESCRIPTION: In heavily blitzed Coventry, they’ve set up a statue to the 900 year old memory of Lady Godiva. It was unveiled by the American Ambassador’s wife, Mrs Lewis Douglas. SHOTLIST: KS. GV crowds. GV statue veiled. Mrs Lewis Douglas on rostrum addresses crowds before unveiling, unveils canvas doesn’t fall away cleanly, various shots. Cut-in crowds, also SCU Reg Sutton looking through field glasses at unveiled statue. Various shots including CUs of Lady Godiva statue.
