- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Manoeuvres in a Snowy Setting. DESCRIPTION: In Alaska, combined American and Canadian forces have recently been on manoeuvres known as Exercise Sweetbriar. The idea is to test the efficiency of men and equipment in temperatures sometimes as cold as fifty below zero. SHOTLIST: KS. Elevated GV of mountains. Various shots of tracked vehicles across snowy ways, towing sledges etc. Make their way through snowy forests. US jet fighters take off. Planes fly over camera in formation strafing ground. Cut-in AA gun firing. Dakotas fly over head & paratroopers dropping to earth.
