Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Princess Elizabeth at the Ideal Home. DESCRIPTION: Princess Elizabeth was received by Lady Rothermere and Mr Stuart McLean when she visited the Ideal Home Exhibition. She made particular point of seeing the New Zealand House, where High Commissioner, Mr Jordan, was on hand to draw her attention to the special features of a dwelling typical of the Dominion. SHOTLIST: KS. Royal car arrives. Princess Elizabeth alights received Lady Rothermere & Mr McLean. Interior GV main hall, crowded with people. Princess escorted by Mr Truefitt, makes way through the crowds. Cut-ins of several exhibits. Walking around the spacious gardens. Enters the New Zealand house escorted by Mr Jordan, High Commissioner. Several interior shots looking around, also signing guest book.
