MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Start for Bif. DESCRIPTION: The British Industries Fair - Castle Bromwich division - is bigger than last year and, its reported even better. London, as usual, has two BIF shop windows, one of which is at Olympia. The other, at Earls Court, was visited by Queen Mary with other members of her family and later Their Majesties and Princess Margaret. SHOTLIST: KS Exterior view of BIF Castle Bromwich - Exterior shots of mechanical gadgets, "The Moke". Another gadget for pushing trucks. . LONDON - OLYMPIA: Mole-Richardson studio equipment stand. Various shots of atomic pile, similar to that of Harwell. MS of rotary printer. EARLS COURT: Full scale large rotary printer, Arabs inspecting same. Foreigners from Oregon walk around. China stand. Various shots of glass stand, includes glass "roundabout" & glass spring. King, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary, Duchess of Kent, Princess Royal walk round inspecting various stands. Also present was the Duchess of Gloucester. King, Queen & Princess Margaret inspect stands. GOOD SCENES: Various shots of cigarette making machine being operated. MS Mole Richardson stand.
