Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rain Mars West Indians Opening. DESCRIPTION: The team from the West Indies were given a very warm welcome (except from the weather), when they got down to first-class cricket at Worcester. Due to the rain, they were only able to play for a few hours on the first day. SHOTLIST: KS. Toss-up. GV ground with Cathedral in background. Several shots of crowds some with flags bearing words "Welcome". Opening bats walk out - West Indians. Rae batting. Worrell batting. Perks bowling. Jenkins bowling. Weekes batting. Worrell nearly stumped. Teams come in as it starts to rain, crowds take shelter & place papers and put on macs. Wicket being covered.
