Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: That Other Derby. DESCRIPTION: Claudette Colbert and Bob Hope witnessed the 76th Kentucky Derby, when fourteen of America’s finest 3 year olds competed for the prize of $90,000 dollars. It was won by Middleground from Hill Prince. SHOTLIST: CU hat, girl turns her face towards camera. CU man wearing gaudy cap. Horses parade. Cut-in of crowds. Claudette Colbert in stands, also Bob Hope. SCU starter lecturing jockeys before the off. Cut-in of hand pressing starter (release). Horses racing from traps. Various shots of the race. "Middleground" takes the lead & wins.
