Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Princess Margaret at Portsmouth. DESCRIPTION: After being received by Admiral of the Fleet Sir Algernon Willis, Princess Margaret embarked in a gig manned by Sea Rangers. The gig took Princess Margaret to the 132 year old frigate Foudroyant and as Commodore of the Sea Rangers she inspected the ship. SHOTLIST: KS. Sea Rangers in gig, holding up oars. Princess Margaret accompanied by Admiral of the Fleet Sir Algernon Willis boards gig. Rowed to training ship "Foudroyant". Princess Margaret boards ship - piped aboard. Inspects ship. Warships lying in Gosport Harbour. Princess takes salute as Sea Rangers row past. GOOD SCENES: SCU Princess Margaret Royal Standard. GV "Victory" fully dressed. GV "Victory" with sailors paraded on deck & around her. MS Princess Margaret board "Victory".
