MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Western Union Fleet Exercises. DESCRIPTION: In the Atlantic recently, the British, Dutch and French Navies combined for the Western Union Fleet exercises. The Dutch Vice-Admiral Willinge commanded the exercises. SHOTLIST: Various shots at sea, of British, Dutch, French warships. Various shots of the destroyer "Agincourt" MS aircraft carrier "Karel Doorman" Dutch. MS Vice Admiral Willinge. Aircraft carrier "Implacable". Shots of cruisers & destroyers. MS "Jutland". Light cruiser "Georges Leygues". Various shots of submarines, partly submerged, with their "Snort" breathing apparatus. Aircraft fly overhead. Planes land on flight deck. At Brest, sailors of three nationalities ashore, enjoy themselves with French girls, walking through streets. Also at fun-fair.
