Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rain Mars Crack Auto Classic. DESCRIPTION: Thirty-three drivers, some reaching speeds of over 125 mph, took part in the 500 mile Indianapolis Car Race which was cut to 345 because of rain. SHOTLIST: Various shots huge crowds at meeting. Various shots of race in progress under appalling conditions, raining hard. Cars slowed up by same, courses saturated. Pouring rain almost blinds drivers. The winner coming through the crowd (running in) nearly gets his neck caught in the tape. CU of winner. Indy 500
