MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Epic Action Commemorated. DESCRIPTION: Highlanders went back to St Valery on the tenth anniversary of the historic rear guard action fought there by the 51st Highland Division. A memorial, made of Scottish granite, was unveiled by four sergeants who served with the division. SHOTLIST: KS Pipers marching & playing pipes. 51st Highland Division troops marching, also other pipers. Elevated GV St Valery & cliffs. Memorial unveiled by four sergeants. CU memorial. Wreath on memorial. GV of beach & cliff - good shot, water lapping up beach.
