Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Coldstreamers’ New Colours. DESCRIPTION: At a ceremony marking the 300th birthday of the Coldstream Guards, the 3rd Battalion trooped their old colours on Horse Guards, the new colours were consecrated by the Chaplin-General to the Forces and presented to the regiment by His Majesty. SHOTLIST: KS. GV Coldstreamers paraded Horse Guards Parade. Guards Trooping the Colour through ranks at slow march. Old members in civvies of Coldstreamers march on parade ground. Colours marched off ground. Cut-in Queen watching, with Queen Mary, Princess Margaret, Duchess of Kent, Princess Alice. Chaplin-General consecrates the New Colours. King (in C-in-C uniform) presents colours. King, several angle shots, addresses Coldstreamers. Coldstreamers give three cheers (dressed full dress uniform). GV elevated shot of Horse Guards Parade. Wipe to CU of colours. Various shots of marchpast to finish, in sound.
