MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Dutch Princess Lays Foundation Stone. DESCRIPTION: A new Dutch Church in Austin Friars, London has been inaugurated. The ceremony was performed by Princess Irene of the Netherlands, who was accompanied by her father Prince Bernhard, Princess Alice, Lord Athlone and the Lord Mayor. SHOTLIST: KS. Elevated CU model of church. MS model of church. Princess Irene arrives with Lord Mayor of London, followed by Prince Bernhard, Princess Alice & Lord Athlone. Interior - the above seated also Lord Athlone. GV congregation, seated in ruined church remains. Princess Irene hitting stone with gavel (or mallet). Declares stone laid (in Dutch language).
