MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Belgian Crisis Subsides. DESCRIPTION: The climax of the Belgian crisis came, when thousands of strikers and other anti-royalists prepared to march on Brussels. If the King’s decision to transfer rights to his son had not been taken, the march would have meant civil war throughout Belgium. SHOTLIST: KS. Crowds on the march. Various shots of thousands of anti-royalists in dock area and marching to Place Albert. Charleroi. Elevated GV thousands in square being addressed by several speakers including M Gailly. Brussels - Leaders of all parties leave for Laeken Palace, Spaak among them. Cars driven off & arrive at Palace.
