Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Up the Pole - in Protest. DESCRIPTION: John Fossett (otherwise Reno, the acrobat) squats up a pole at Brighton Zoo in protest against the refusal of the show producer to release him from his contract so that he could go aboard. Compromise was reached, however, after staying up there for 37 hours. SHOTLIST: KS. MS Reno up the pole. Several shots of John Fossett (Reno) on top of the pole, with his bed etc. Pulls mike up by rope. Reno gives his views on position. Tilt down showing height of pole. SCU Vic Templer, his employer, saying that he won’t release Reno from contract. Cut-ins of Reno shaving. Reno under blanket with his feet out at bottom.
