- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Old Malta Wreck Raised. DESCRIPTION: The raising of the famous HMS Breconshire off Malta is regarded as a classic example of naval salvage. Sunk in 1942 during the siege of Malta, it was originally estimated that it would take four years to move her, but the work has been completed in less than seven months.
