MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Queen Inaugurates Loch Sloy Scheme. DESCRIPTION: Her Majesty opens the first part of Scotland’s Hydro Electric Scheme. SHOTLIST: KS. GV of Scottish countryside. Various shots of the countryside. Shots of the reservoir, pan along dam pipes to generating station far below to Loch Lomond. Queen arrival, crowds cheer. Queen mounts platform. Margaret Knox (Tom Johnston’s grand-daughter) presents bouquet (4 year old). Escorting Queen Tom Johnston. Queen addressing the gathering. Pulls lever starting the generators. Cut-in of indicator showing them gaining speed. Queen tours the station. Cut-in plaque to those killed during building of the same. Inspecting turbo-generators, also the lay-out, controls. Meets some of the workmen responsible. CU types of workmen. GV of the same to finish. Also with the Queen is the Earl of Argyle.
