Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Korea Incidents. DESCRIPTION: In Korea, American sabre-jets sweep into battle to engage Russian-built MIG 15’s - US Air Force camera-gun pictures show us the destruction of one of the enemy. Scenes taken during a local retreat tell the story of sub-zero weather. Finally, Air Lift Orphan, in spite of all difficulties, more that a thousand Korean orphans have been evacuated by air. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Aerial of snow covered country. Aerial with camera-gun. Sabre-jets shooting (in combat) up Russian MIG 15s. Latter crashing towards earth with smoke coming from same. US tanks into camera along road. Troops slide down embankment in snow. Troops carry wounded on stretchers, snowing hard. Placed on jeeps. Korean kids in hundreds, being evacuated by 5th Air Force, loaded onto lorries & at airport. Nurses handling children & taking them aboard planes.
