Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Oil Tanker Blows Up. DESCRIPTION: Tragedy in Queen’s Dock, Swansea, followed the explosions in the oil tanker, Atlantic Duchess. Seven men lost their lives and others, including six firemen, were injured. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV of tanker broken in halves. Various angle shots of the tanker, wrecked, her back broken. Fireman turning on water from fire tender. Police stand guard. More shots of ships showing parts of ship, the bridges, etc. Finish on GV of wrecked oil tanker Atlantic Duchess.
