Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Schoolgirls Good Deed. DESCRIPTION: Scores of tortoises have been rescued by the RSPCA from a rubbish dump in Plaistow. They were discovered by 10-year-old Brenda Jones and 9-year-old Mabel Shipp who dialled 999. As a reward, they received a medal and one pound. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. SCU scores tortoises on floor. RSPCA officer inspects some of them. Inside schoolroom, Mabel Shipp & Brenda Jones march onto platform. RSPCA officer presents them with medals & hands them each a one pound note. Girls clapping. Boys clapping.
