Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: African Tribal Chief Installed. DESCRIPTION: School-children had a day off in Kasembe village (in the Kawambwa district of Northern Rhodesia); the occasion was the installation as new tribal chieftain of a ruler with the attractive name of Brown Ngombe. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. SCU Elder of the tribe. School-children march barefooted through streets. Bus-loads of inhabitants & children arrive, scores on one lorry. An elder leads the chief-to-be to a drum (his throne). New Chief Brown Ngombe seated on same, with his mouth full of leaves. Native girls dance to him, also the elders. The new chief dancing. New chief sits down again on drum.
