Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Record Ski Leap. DESCRIPTION: Unusually large numbers of spectators gathered at Oberstdorf in Germany to watch the international ski-jumping contest. A world record jump of 456 feet was made by Tauno Luiro of Finland - and he’s only eighteen years old. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Panning shot - skiers in mid air passing camera. Crowds gathered on side of jump. Various shots of skiers, SCU down runway & taking the air. Various shots over camera in mid air, some falling, others make safe landings. CU of several starts. Tauno Luiro, starting & down runway & jumping, finish of jump. CU of him - the winner.
