- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Student’s Strike Ends in Protest. DESCRIPTION: Six thousand students took part in a sit-down strike in the Rue Soufflot in the Latin Quarter of Paris. An attempt to break police cordons round the National Assembly buildings had violent results. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Elevated GV crowded boulevards. Various shots crowds seated on the ground. What traffic there is, is at a standstill. Gendarmes start to break up the crowds, in the Rue Soufflot (Latin Quarter). Various shots of civilians & gendarmes in struggles. Several taken away to police vans. General rioting.
