DESCRIPTION: Paying a visit to Elstree Studios, the Queen and Princess Margaret spent nearly two hours on the set of the The Magic Box which is to be a Festival of Britain film. The Royal visitors saw the shooting of a scene between Robert Donat and Maria Schell. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. MS Robert Donat standing on set. GV Queen & Princess Margaret enter set, technicians stand around. Robert Donat shows Princess old camera - Friese-Greene. John Boulting shows Queen double image film. Queen inspects technicolor camera. Several shots all angles of the Queen & PM seated watching shooting of scene. Robert Donat & Maria Schell acting on set.
