Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cambridge Beat Yale. DESCRIPTION: Yale had the advantage of weight in their Boat Race with Cambridge on the Housatonic River in Connecticut. Over the 1.75 miles course, Cambridge won by four lengths. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Yale carried boat out of house into camera. MS Yale on bank of river - posing. Cambridge bring out boat & climb in. GV of river & crowds on banks. Start of race. Cambridge draw away, following shots of both crews rowing against swift running tide. Cambridge take lead & sustain same. Various shots during race as Cambridge gradually increase lead. Finish on race. Yale finishing after Cambridge. Cambridge crew cheering (silent). Crowds on banks of river.
