DESCRIPTION: The largest manoeuvres staged since the war took place in North Carolina. 110,000 men took part and got a bit of exercise dodging the strafing fighters. SHOTLIST: Lard Army manoeuvres, 110,000 men take part. 82nd Airborne Division drop behind so called enemy lines (4,000 troops jump) lower altitude than usual. Jeeps, guns & equipment parachuted down to them. Fighter strafing ground troops.
