Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Korea - Battle for Bloody Ridge. DESCRIPTION: Canadian gunners have been effective in blasting the Reds from strong positions. The battle for Bloody Ridge, as one Communist position has been named, involved South Korean infantry in some very stiff fighting and after many hours of desperate struggle, they eventually took the ridge. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV artillery firing. GV masses tens of thousands of shell cases on ground, just dumped there. Ditto. Tanks going over rough country. Tanks firing their guns. GV valley. GV artillery putting up a barrage. GV infantry advance over valley. Individual infantrymen racing forward, falling flat & firing machine guns, etc. Communist Koreans surrender, several shots. Shot of dead Korean. Various shots of men firing tracers at dusk, hitting ridge & ricochetting. Dense smoke rises from the ridge.
