MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rough Passage for Uss Midway. DESCRIPTION: When the US Carrier Midway re-fuelled from a tanker, the operation was performed in a full gale. She was on her way to join the American Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Midway taken from same going through fairly rough sea - looking forward. Various shots of the carrier travelling alongside a tanker & re-fuelling. Various shots of the seas breaking over the tankers deck, washing the crew off their feet.
