- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Varsity Sports - White City. DESCRIPTION: As always, the ‘Varsity Sports were well attended at the White City, where Oxford won again. The inter-varsity one mile record was broken by Chataway of Oxford who also shared first place in the three mile event. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Running shot. Crowd shot. Start & running of the 100 yards. Finlay wins for Cambridge. Start of mile, several shots of the race. Chataway takes over lead & wins. Passing tape. Crowds. Pole Vault, Burger clears 13’1. Start of three-mile, various shots of race. Chataway & Scott-Wilson both of Oxford finish dead-heat. Cut-in starter with his gun.
