MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ridgeway Arrives. DESCRIPTION: Arriving at London Airport with his wife, General Ridgeway was greeted by the Chief of the Air Staff, Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir John Slessor. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Plane taxies - Constellation. Ridgeway alights with Mrs Ridgeway. Greeted by Sir John Slessor. Communists throw pamphlets at Ridgeway, police arrest several. Ridgeway inspects guard of honour. Communists more activity, police taking them away. Ridgeway drives away.
