Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Labour Party Conference. DESCRIPTION: Mr Attlee talks over the prospects of the Annual Conference. Before the opening, leading members of the party attended Sunday service at the Holy Trinity Church, Morecambe. At the Conference itself, great interest attached to the elections to the National Executive. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV Morecambe Front. GV exterior - Winter Gardens. Interior - Morgan Phillips & Attlee seated together. CU Attlee speaking on the conference. Going to church, Attlees, Morrisons, Wilsons, Gaitskells, GV church. Procession outside church, Dr Garbett in same. CU Dr Garbett. Party arrive at conference hall (Winter Hall). Group outside shows Mr Earnshaw. Mr & Mrs A Bevan. Shots of Mr Mikardo, Harold Wilson. Morrison seated during conference. Mr Elvin also arrives.
