- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Trapped Ice-Cap Servicemen Home. DESCRIPTION: Our pictures show the daring rescue of the men trapped on the ice-cap. The rescued servicemen, back in England, tell the story. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Aerial of Greenland. Various shots (aerial) showing crashed Hastings. At Thule, US men make way to aircraft, MS plane with blizzard enveloping it. Inside aircraft - supplies being pushed out & aerials of them landing around crashed Hastings. Planes land on ice-cap & taxies to wrecked Hastings. At Thule rescued men board plane, one with smashed foot. Alighting at Topcliffe, Yorkshire, crew & captain of plane, captain, Flt Lt Clancy interviewed.
